Multi-Wavelength Astronomy in the Cloud Workshop at SAAO

The Inter-University Institute for Data Intensive Astronomy and the South African Astronomical Observatory would like to invite you to a one-day workshop about multi-wavelength astronomy, current and future data challenges, and how cloud computing technology can help to address them.

The aim of the workshop is to introduce the South African multi-wavelength astronomical community to the ilifu cloud computing facility and identify current and future needs within the community that could be met by the ilifu operational model.

The workshop will take place on 26th August in SAAO’s Cape Town auditorium and will be made up by invited talks followed by ample time for discussion and a demo of the ilifu cloud.
