Here is a popular counterfeit money puzzle that has been circulating over the social media for a while but no one seems to have correctly solved it!
A conman walks into John's shop and buys Tshs 2,500 worth of goods, and pays bill with a Tshs 10,000 note. John has no change for the Tshs 10,000, so he went to his neighbor to get change and returns Tshs 7,500 to the customer, and the man leaves. A little later, John's neighbor realizes that the Tshs 10,000 note was fake, and goes to John to demand a real Tshs 10,000 back. John re-compensates his neighbor for the Tshs 10,000.
Now the question is: How much money did John lose in total, on this entire unfortunate transaction?
